Geometry simulation improves the quality of the tool

With geometry simulation, the tool can be designed in such a way as to reduce variation in the manufacturing process

In addition to forming simulation of the sheet metal component, we also simulate the geometries of the component. In geometry simulation, the component is simulated in relation to the product specification and the reference points. Simulating the sheet metal component using geometry simulation allows us to predict and visualise variation.

Software for stability analysis

We use RD&T software for the geometry simulation, which is a tool for statistical variation simulation. With the help of a stability analysis of the reference points of the sheet metal component, we can prevent the variation by designing the tool so that the manufacturing variation is reduced for you. A reduced manufacturing variation in your production is, of course, cost-effective and beneficial from a sustainability perspective. Reduced variation means fewer resources are required, which in turn means that you reduce your impact on the environment.

Simulation prevents and compensates

As a tool manufacturer, Lidhs Tooling wishes to contribute to a sustainable Swedish industry. Simulating the sheet metal component and the design of the tool is a big part of that work. We work with several types of simulation in order for our tools to attain the highest possible quality and level of sustainability. Geometry simulation to predict manufacturing variation and forming simulation to prevent and compensate for any deviations. For you as a customer, this means that you always get world-class tools and at the same time participate in and contribute to a more sustainable Swedish industry.

Production of new tools

The production of new toolsWhen you come to us for new production, we help you find the right type of tool and ensure that it meets your specifications. There’s more to creating new tools than the development of a new tool alone. It essentially comes down to turning an idea into reality. Because all innovations…

Forming simulation

Forming simulation for sustainable toolmaking Using both forming simulation and geometry simulation to simulate our tools makes for a quality-assured and cost-effective manufacturing process at Lidhs.   Forming simulation shows deviations before production By simulating each tool before production starts, we can effectively see what will happen at each step of the toolmaking process and…
